Qualification

To apply for the Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ post, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Degree: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant disciplines:
  • Electronics: Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Science: Computer Science & Information Technology
• Minimum Marks: At least 65% aggregate or CGPA of 6.84/10 (all semesters)
• GATE Score: Valid GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 score in the relevant paper:
  • EC for Electronics
  • ME for Mechanical
  • CS for Computer Science

Note: Graduation must be completed within the prescribed course duration. Conversion of CGPA to percentage is not allowed unless officially mentioned by the university.

Age Criteria

• Maximum Age Limit: 28 years as on 19 May 2025
• Relaxations:
  • Government employees, Ex-servicemen, PwBD candidates: As per Govt. of India rules

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following:

1. Shortlisting through valid GATE 2024 or 2025 score
2. Interview (1:7 ratio from GATE score list)
3. Interview Evaluation (100 Marks):
   • Academic Knowledge: 40 marks
   • Technical Awareness: 20 marks
   • Communication Skills: 20 marks
   • Comprehension: 10 marks
   • Academic Achievements: 10 marks

Minimum Qualifying Marks in Interview:

• General: 60/100
• PwBD: 50/100

Final Selection: 50% weightage to GATE Score + 50% to Interview Score

Salary

• Pay Level: Level 10 of Pay Matrix
• Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month
• Gross CTC: Includes DA, HRA, TA, etc.
