Qualification
To apply for ALP, candidates must have completed Matriculation (10th Pass) along with:
- ITI certificate from recognized institutions in any of the approved trades such as:
- Electrician
- Fitter
- Instrument Mechanic
- Wireman
- Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel/Radio & TV)
- Turner
- Machinist
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
OR
- A Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Automobile) from a recognized university.
Note: Candidates waiting for final results are not eligible.
Age Criteria
The age limit as on 1st July 2025 is:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules
- Other special categories like railway employees, widows, etc., also have relaxations.
Key Skills
Candidates applying for ALP should have the following skills:

Selection Process
The recruitment process includes:
- CBT-1 (Computer Based Test – Stage 1) – Screening Test

- CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) – Only for shortlisted candidates
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination
Final selection will be based on merit (70% from CBT-2 Part A + 30% from CBAT).
